How do we know, where the Bicknell’s Thrush go?
We trap in nets, and the birds’ legs we band, once we have them in hand.
We can learn about their age, when they return to our stage.
As we look at the data awarded, the oldest, eleven years was recorded
In Vermont, released and recaptured
The same bird, we are enraptured.
From an island in the sea
To a spruce or fir tree
in the cool, damp, high peaks
it is a mate and a nest this bird seeks
